Toyota 2SZ-FE Engine Overview
Another SZ engine series that have been produce by Toyota Company, the Toyota 2SZ-FE Engine, this engine is came with 1296 cc of engine displacement, and it was make to support Toyota Yaris vehicle, this engine is used for 2005 Toyota Yaris product, as we are already know Toyota Yaris is a 3-door hatchback that has 5 seats and front wheel drive (FWD). It has been announced in 1999. The measurements of the vehicle are as follows: height – 1499.00 mm, width – 1660.00 mm, length – 3614.00 mm. Back to the Toyota 2SZ-FE Engine, this engine is has 4-cylinder with 4 valves per cylinder, naturally-aspirated, double overhead camshaft (DOHC), the valve technology that use by this engine is same with previous SZ engine model, it was use VVT-I technology, the Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, is an automobile variable valve timing technology developed by Toyota, similar in performance to the BMW’s VANOS. The others features that we can find on this engine is off-set type crankshaft which reduces friction losses and narrow-angle valves. The engine cylinders are design with straight inline configuration, the length of the piston stroke is 2.83 in and the diameter of the cylinders is 2.95 in. While for the consumption part or we can say with fuel system, this engine is using electronic fuel injection (EFI) fuel system.
